All work and legal activity is overseen
by our director, James Guthrie, who has a wide and varied
legal background spanning 18 years.
James started his legal career in Luxembourg
with a South African corporate law firm specialising in offshore
trust and tax affairs, before returning to the UK to take
up a litigation post with solicitors in Shaftesbury, Dorset
and from there joining a top 20 law firm in Reading. James
came to Torquay in 1994 to take up the post of Debt Recovery
Manager with a leading firm of South Devon lawyers.
James has also has extensive experience
in running in house credit control functions and sales ledgers,
and this coupled with his 5 years in local government as the
Enforcement Manager of a Revenue & Benefits section means
that he has seen debt recovery from every conceivable angle,
arguably placing him in a unique position.
For your peace of mind we hold Professional
Indemnity Insurance to the tune of £1 million in relation
to any one claim.
